Join Global Exchange for an Urgent Solidarity Delegation to Cuba!
Cuba is facing historic challenges. Recent nationwide blackouts and the impact of devastating hurricanes have been made worse by the long term hardships resulting from the US Blockade. And all of this is taking place against the added the specter of an inbound US Administration all but certain to worsen US policies towards Cuba.
Global Exchange is mobilizing to rush humanitarian aid to the island to support the Cuban People and make important people-to-people connections.
We’ve designed a few short trips to give participants a chance to bring much-needed humanitarian supplies to the Island. Urgent needs include over-the-counter medicines and medical supplies, non-perishable foods, clothing and much more. When you join us on one of these vital trips, our days will also be filled with unforgettable people-to-people experiences where we hear from Cuban’s working in community projects, disaster relief, small business owners and many others to learn about what their daily life is like and what their hopes are for the future.
Your presence on these trips can make a huge difference during this difficult time for Cuba. And even though the island is experiencing significant hardships, these trips provide much needed cash infusions for the people of Cuba.
Our first trip will take place December 27 – January 1, 2025.
Following that we will offer several short Urgent Aid Trips to help meet peoples schedules on the dates listed here: January 11 – 14, January 18 – 21 and January 25 – 28, 2025.
If you would like to join any of these trips, please email Drea at drea@globalexchange.org
For decades, Global Exchange has worked to end the blockade, to normalize relations with Cuba, and to exchange people to people ties that build solidarity and understanding. We know that addressing both long term challenges and immediate crises are important, and we will always do everything we can to support our friends in Cuba.
While we don’t know what the future might hold for US-Cuba relations, right now, you have the opportunity to respond to this crisis. If you are able, please join us.
