Boycotting, divesting and sanctioning (BDS) is a non-violent tactic to get Israel to end its violations of international law and human rights. BDS tactics were used successfully to end apartheid in South Africa.
For more information about the global BDS movement, go to: BDSMovement.net.
The BDS movement calls for a boycott of all the products of all Israeli — and international — companies that are involved in Israel’s violations of Palestinian rights. Virtually all Israeli companies are complicit to some degree in Israel’s system of occupation and apartheid. Below are some of the current BDS campaigns for products available in the Sacramento Area.
Israeli Products at Trader Joe’s
Sign petition asking Trader Joes’s to stop selling Israeli products including Israeli feta, Bamba snacks, frozen Dorot herbs, and Gva’ot wine.
Chevron
Sign petition to Boycott Chevron which is profitting from the genocide on Gaza. Chevron’s “extraction activities generate billions of dollars in revenue for apartheid Israel and its war chest, helping to fund the ongoing genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza,” reports the Boycott National Committee.
Sabra Humus
Sabra is owned by Pepsi-cola and the Strauss Group, which has provided funding and support to the Israeli military. Click for more info.
Sadaf
Sadaf does business with Israel and supports the illegal Israel settlements and occupation forces. For more information https://boycottsadaf.com/
Maersk
The Palestinian Youth Movement’s campaign to Cut Ties with Genocide is a fight against Maersk, one of the world’s largest shipping and logistics companies that directly facilitates the weapons trade. Without Maersk, Israel would not have the weapons to commit its genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
