Sacramento Reparations Community Meeting

This is Chris Lodgson, Lead Organizer of the Coalition for a Just and Equitable California (CJEC). We are California’s first, only, and leading state-wide grassroots organization born to achieve Reparations and Reparative Justice for Black/African American descendants of persons enslaved in the U.S. As you may already know, Cities across our state are considering and pursuing Reparations. Recently, several local community organizations in our City (including CJEC’s local partner in Sacramento: The American Redress Coalition of Sacramento California) have banded together to solicit community input about whether our City of Sacramento should also pursue Reparations at the local level.
To that end, It is my pleasure to invite you to our upcoming Sacramento Reparations Community Meeting on Saturday March 30th from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at Florin Square’s Digital Cafe located at 2251 Florin Road, 95822. During this important community meeting, residents will get informed about local, state and federal Reparations, and then share their own thoughts and ideas for a potential Sacramento Reparations effort.
Your organization, as well as the entire Sacramento community, is invited and welcome to attend. We also encourage you to share this event with others in your network and/or community to attend as well.
