Local Peace Economy Learning Hour: What is a co-op? – October 1

rsvp at     https://www.codepink.org/lpe101

What does joining your local food co-op have to do with ending war? Join us for our FIRST Local Peace Economy Learning Hour to find out!

These monthly conversations are an opportunity to learn about the many ways the peace economy can take shape and how you can get involved in your local peace economy. This month, we’ll be diving into the topic of co-ops. What is a co-op? What types of co-ops exist? Why are co-ops contributing to the end of the war economy? How can you get involved in a co-op near you?

We’re not going to end war until we end the war economy. We’re not going to see peace until we ourselves are cultivating it within ourselves and our communities. Co-ops are seeding peace in communities across the U.S. as they bring a shared ownership model to food stores, child care, housing, and more.

Bring your curiosity, your questions, and your dreams for a more beautiful future to this conversation! We can’t wait to learn with you!
