online – Implementation of International Law to Stop the Genocide

October 19 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Those of us old enough to remember the Viet Nam War, remember how the images of napalmed children on the nightly news, helped to mobilize a massive peace movement. The horror ignited a movement that could not be dismissed.

This week in northern Gaza and southern Lebanon, the horror has never been more on display. We have watched patients burned to death in hospitals, peered into the eyes of parents’ despair, and listened to the wild disassociated speech of children who can’t understand what they have done to deserve this genocide.

How can this continue; how can we make it stop?

Over the past several weeks, Global Exchange has been part of an international convening of organizations that have come together, overcoming time zones and language barriers, to envision a global peace process with concrete steps we can take. We are building a coalition of organizations from around the world committed to defending the rights of Palestinians and ending the occupation, a movement built on justice, human dignity, and respect for international law.

We invite you to the launch meeting for the Global Solidarity for Peace in Palestine on Zoom this Saturday, October 19, 2024: Implementation of International Law to Stop the Genocide.
